Hi Friends!

The Pie Shoppe as we know it will come to a close at the end of September. It was not an easy decision to make, and isn't due to any one factor.

The Pie Shoppe was never intended to be forever, and for us it's time to take a break.

In the last 12 yrs, since we opened our doors in Chinatown, we have built a magical little universe—— one made up of fruit growers, city farmer, wine makers, brewers, neighbours and of course you. We have received accolades that we could not have ever imagined, when we first conceived The Pie Shoppe, and for that we are truly grateful.

This decision was not made lightly, and is not the end. It merely signifies the opening of a new chapter. Though emotional, we are excited for what is next and we remain dedicated to never stop evolving, learning, and participating in this incredible food scene.

We thank you so much for your support over the years.

With so so much gratitude.

We love this city very very much!!

Lots of love, Andi & Stephanie French

The Pie Shoppe interior kitchen
GO HERE: for the city's best pies, hands down. Sisters (and pastry chefs) Stephanie and Andrea French have both talent and gumption, opening their first pint-size location in just nine days and surviving a fire that nearly ruined their new shop. Now The Pie Shoppe is busier than ever, sourcing thousands of pounds of British Columbian fruit to make their highly coveted pies.
BON APPETIT
Pie seems like an easy gig, but the sisters say that with this dessert, the stakes are high. 'We are always amused by how pie taps into childhood experiences; you develop relationships with people around a product that's very emotional.'
MONTECRISTO MAG
Although strictly seasonal and based on supporting British Columbia produce from treasured suppliers, the pies themselves take on a wanderlust from the girls' Southern Ontario childhoods and much of their early twenties spent traveling and cooking in Britain, Asian, Australia, India and South America.
