Come join us Sunday, July 23rd for an afternoon of pie baking! Together we'll chat fruit, sugars, starches, perfecting flaky crust, and make a seasonal Summer Fruit pie menu just in time for the markets and Fraser Valley to burst . We'll be working with locally grown organic berries, blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, collected from Inner city farmers. We will be using the local fresh berries and preparing all the fillings from scratch for our pies. While the pies are baking, we will have some snacks and drinks.

This workshop is perfect for preparing desserts for the summer season. You will also learn about making pastry, crumbles and custards for pie making and pastry techniques. Everyone will walk away with a whole pie they have made, a booklet of recipes and tips, and a few new friends.

WHEN: Sunday, July 23rd 3 P.M. to 6 P.M.
WHERE: At the new Pie Shoppe 1857 Powell Street, Vancouver, British Columbia . We are located in the middle of the city. Class size is limited to 8 folks. You will be provided with aprons, rolling pins, a pie plate and tasty eats. Workshops will involve wheat flour. Our space is not gluten free, nor is any of the snacks we provide. Keep in mind our kitchen is really small, so this workshop will be very intimate and cozy.
CANCELLATION: Should you need to cancel you will receive 75% of your money back up to two weeks before the class date. If you cannot attend, yet it is past the refund date, you are welcome to send a friend in your place.
